Denna McLaughlin is inspired by her clients to make their homes as individual as they are. Her well-honed sense of color, creative use of interesting materials and a great feel for mixing contrasting styles has given her design work a fresh and dynamic feel. Interior design according to Denna should be an enjoyable process that creates not only a fully functional space but one that compliments the lifestyle and vision of the client. Bringing “green” to her work is an increasingly important factor in that home environments need to be healthier and safer. The use of recycled materials, buying local and safely disposing of non-recyclable materials are an integral part of all her design projects.. Collaborating with other design professionals and an awareness of budgets and time lines are two key points in her well run projects. Beautifully crafted kitchen and bath remodels are a highlight in City Studio’s portfolio. Taking what exists and turning it into something beyond the clients expectations is a hallmark of City Studios.
Denna cofounded City Studios in 1991 and has worked on projects in the bay area, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Tahoe, Hawaii as well as on the east coast..
